Making plat in EQ is pretty tough, especially as a new player and gearing up is done mostly through plat, except from at the end-game when you can raid to get gear. WebDamage bonus won't start until I think it's 30 or 31 and 2h weapons have higher damage bonus based on delay, whereas 1h weapons are all the same with 1 more bonus every 3 levels after bonus starts.
